Green Grass Campsite

Welcome To The Beeches Campsite In Shobdon

We are a family-run Campsite, set in a beautiful location in Herefordshire, with stunning scenery just outside the charming village of Shobdon. All our pitches are grass, either with or without electric hookups, and beautiful views of the established pool and wildlife. We are a dog-friendly site and welcome well-behaved guests of the furry kind too. Locally we have plenty of pretty walks for you and your four-legged friends to explore!

Although we have plenty of space, we never want too many people, preferring quality over quantity. Generally, we don't take groups or children, so if you wish to do activities, play areas or entertainment, we really aren't the site for you!

However, if you want to take things at a slower pace, relax and enjoy the wildlife and scenery then perhaps you too will appreciate The Beeches.

REVIEWS

"Thank you, both for having us on your fantastic site. We loved to visit the Donkey and thank you for letting us see the Alpacas 'Bonus!".

Hopefully, we may be able to come again if you can put up with a couple of 'old codgers!'"

AROUND US

Shobdon is famous for the Shobdon Arches and the fabulous church built originally in Anglo-Saxon times with its blue and white interior. The village has an Airfield with Cafe, a village shop with Post Office.

The surrounding area is beautiful and unspoiled and full of interesting walks and numerous public footpaths. Mortimer's Forest links Shobdon to Ludlow which is a haven for walkers and hikers. Herefordshire has many National Trust Properties which draw visitors from afar.

The Historic town of Leominster is 7 miles away, with its numerous National Trust Properties, and Queenswood Country Park & Arboretum. There is a nice mix of larger supermarkets, together with a mix of unusual small shops and boutiques.  Presteigne is 7 miles away and is known as the "Gateway to Wales". Ludlow, with its historic castle, is 12 miles away and is a very popular destination with many markets, restaurants, and a racecourse.

The City of Hereford is 18 miles away with its Cathedral housing the Mappa Mundi. Hereford also offers a variety of shops from clothing to coffee shops.

STORAGE

We offer secure caravan and motorhome storage. The vehicles are all stored on the tarmac and benefit from a secure and well-lit area. We can be flexible with dates and times but obviously would need 24 hours' notice if possible.

Some people who stay with us regularly, prefer to leave their caravan here so they are not towing a caravan back and forth. They advise us when they are coming and we move the caravan down onto the pitch ready for their arrival.

They enjoy their stay in the knowledge that we will put it back for them without them getting involved. If you require any more details please do not hesitate to get in touch.
